ok so I got my odometer apart to get one of the wheels unstuck - took em all off an cleaned em all and ready to put back together ....
I realized i only have enough number wheels to go to 99999 miles .... this is off a 78 I believe - anyone know if I’m just missing a number wheel or something my god... the shaft doesn’t seem to have space for another but it makes me wonder

any info on odometers and going into the 100,000’s ?

Pretty sure there’s only 5 numbers aside from tenths. Just did this in Feb on my 74. Doubt they’re different.

Ok so I think I got this thing ready to put back in housing but I’m nervous... here are my quick questions....
The metal discs should sit against top metal piece and then be held in place by the face plate - as pictured below.

I want to give it run with my cordless but don’t wanna do it until I have confirmation I have it in correctly and am not gunna mess something up by running it with the drill.

how does it look? Also the damn odometer number wheel has fittings for it on both sides of housing so obviously it goes on the side where it connects with the other roller - but technically it could fit onto the roller the forger way but I think I got that correct as well.... another case of not taking pics as taking apart!!! Never forget!!! Duh

Not correct! the metal plates between the numbers need to have the slot locked over the bar, slotted fully into place. Also your numbers are all wonky.

Well I know the numbers look “wonky” but they actually should just roll into place perfectly - I lined everything up correctly (cogs/discs/number wheel) ... but I wasn’t sure about the whole metal disc bracket portion and how it sits - didn’t see good enough pics from other threads

Ok so I see what you meant I got the metal discs correctly ... yes the numbers are at the in-between - do I really need to taken the them all off and realign? I thought they would work themselves out once ran a bit ... I can but I was hoping not to have to. I connected everything correctly and then spun it some before placing in assembly which is why it ended up looking “wonky” - I had it set

this look ok?

Ok I took it off reset the numbers and 100% you have to have them lined up the way you want them or else they will turn wonky and my friend put it... thanks for help.... got it all working ...

On the circuit board what is this for
Back has a spade to connect a plug and front has this metal dot ... just curious what’s it’s for
