I read through the odometer clean / fix threads here in the FAQ and ran into an issue trying to do mine. While the examples in the FAQ had what look like plastic housings and clips to hold the rod / digits /gears in place, mine seems to be a solid cast metal one piece frame and no way I can see to remove the rod. Wondering if anyone encountered this before and has a solution.?

OK, better flash light... There is a very small brass clip by the 10k digit that keeps it from moving right / left - pulled it off and it came right out -
