@bhicks please send one of the two sets I bought to @cruiserdan. NO ONE snipes Cruiserdan. They're on me.

I restoked the website this morning with 5 more pairs that were made yesterday. Ebay and Etsy also have a couple pairs left. Right now I'm trying to figure out if a redesign on the right side is feasible. I have already taken a rather substantial loss on this product and I am fine with that due to the knowledge I collected during the process. At the same time, the more effort, time, and money I toss at this project the more upside down I get. Also selling these in 2 different sizes that visually look identical is a nightmare for my shipper and the buyer/installer. I will look into this today or tomorrow and see if I can make the change with ease with little effort and time and find a way to make install easy without confusion on which boot goes on which side.

I got notification that mine delivered. I won't see the product however until later on this afternoon or evening.

I sat down at my computer on my lunch break here in the shop and was able to modify the boot to be 1/8" more narrow front to back. Took about 15 minutes to modify and the label each file "L" and "R". Here is a side by side CAD comparison of what I came up with. I am printing this version right now. For folks who want that perfect fit on both sides you have a couple options. You can send me your current right side and I will swap it out for you for the updated version. If you want a spare then just place a new order for the right side by itself. Once I have confirmation the new version fits and functions perfectly, I will make a batch of the right side insert and put them up on our seller platforms for a couple weeks to be sold individually and not in a pair. Will be 1/2 of the pair price. I will keep you guys posted on the latest version. Will probably be about 2 weeks before I have them ready to ship so be patient. I'm not real happy with Mr. T using 2 different sized holes for these plugs. That is stupid annoying.

Don't call them L and R. That flips when going from RHD to LHD. The wider one is turn signal. Narrow is wiper.

The turn signals and wiper controls switch when going from left hand to right hand drive? Does the larger hole switch with the controls or is the larger hole always on the left side of the clamshell?

Yes. Turn signal arm goes outwards toward the door. Opposite of your shifting arm.

So the side closest to the drivers door is always the larger or smaller hole? So a "Driver" and "Passenger" side marking seems to make the most sense if I understand this correctly.

I think we’re over complicating this 😂

Yup.

To confirm the wider hole is closest to the door. It is wider to allow for the lever to move forward and backward for high beams.

Agreed. Mark the wider one as Driver

Right side for me was a prefect fit but left side wasn’t.

The left side opening on my RHD clam shell is slightly smaller than the right side opening.

In other words, the opening facing the right door is larger than the opening facing the left door.

At least it seems this way in my case. Can’t get the rubber boot to work on the smaller opening. In fact I mangled mine up too.

Ok. Take two on this fix.
