My 40 has a NP205, 1330 dc output yoke. I have a Dshaft out of older F-250. DC on 1 end, single joint on the other. I need to connect it to a 40 flange somehow. Is there a cheap way to do it? Thanks in advance. Tim

Find someone that makes a flange yoke end for the driveshaft 1330 joint and then modify a Land Cruiser pinion companion flange to make the bolt patterns work.

Odds on, you are not going to find 1330 flange yoke, and will need to run a 1310/1330 joint so that you could use an available 1310 flange yoke.

Custom projects = $$$

Poser, good call. I'll see what I can find. I haven't seen any for a 1330, only 1310 like you said. Time to start searching. Thanks again.

*edit* scratch that. I have a 1330 flange yoke. It's from an 8.8 thats getting swapped into the wifes XJ. I need to swap it for a 1310 yoke, so I can rob the 1330. SWEET. Tim

NEAPCO CATALOGS <---- this is a link

Heavy Duty Catalog is where you will find flange yokes....

There is one listed in there that takes a 1310 and will bolt up to your differential companion flange...you may just have to drill it out to 3/8" as the holes are 8mm instead of 10mm.

That's awesome, Steve. They just got added to my favorites. A lotta goodies in there. I know the U-joints at the t-case are 1330 but maybe, just maybe, the lower is a 1310. I'll have to measure it tonight.
I'm working on getting some fine spline diffs in it so those flanges plus Kurts redrilled pinion flanges oughta put me in business...... if I have a 1310 at the pinion. Even if I don't, I bet I could find a 1310 slip yoke that'll slide right onto the D-shaft in that neapco catalog. Cheers Poser  Much appreciated.

**edit** p-n 3102-16 is the same as the above n2-2-799 flange. Here is another site with more Toyota fitting driveline parts: http://www.powertrainindustries.com...es&PHPSESSID=f5276138b9b657cb3973f1d1bb4fc755

need a drive shaft too!

I need some help on making a decision on or finding rear Drive shaft.

Mine goes from a 205 32 spline 1350 yoke from JB conversion to 14 bolt. I know about hi angle but it's kind of expensive from my budget.

any suggestions will be appreciated.

my 40 will be spring over w/ about 97 to a 100" wheelbase and will be running 37's

As it is, I wanted to use my current 40 d shafts. Buy a 32 spline flange for the case and weld a yoke on the other end of the stock d shafts to connected to 14 bolt. could this be done?
, has anybody done this?

If it can be done, Is the stock d. shaft a strong enough to handle the torque of the Chevy350, sm4645/205 and 14bolt?

stock d shaft was strong enough for 4 speed tranny and case w/ stock rear diff.

You might look into getting a used 99-c Super Duty front d-shaft. I believe they are 1350, double cardan at the case, and have a nice slip on em. Been a while since I've seen one, though. Next SD I have through the shop, I'll check it out.

I have an NP205 in my Cruiser, and had a centered rear diff FJ40 axle in it. I got a DC 1350 and a 1350 output flange for the t-case from Tom Woods. Then I took the end of an FJ40 driveshaft that mated to the pinion flange to a local driveshaft shop with the DC 1350. They fabbed the rear driveshaft with .120" wall tubing to the length I needed, then balanced it. It works great!

I have just swapped in a 14 bolt rear axle, and have a 1410 yoke for it. I'll take the rear driveshaft back to the same shop and have them cut off the Toyota end and install a 1410 yoke on it. It should work out nicely.

Custom driveshafts aren't cheap, but it's nice to have a heavy duty driveshaft that works well and rides smooth on the road.

does anybody know the size of a LC 40 u-joint?

it does look kind of a 1350. I did some work on my 14 bolt today and I was looking at the size of the u-joint and it did look kind of big for 1310.

I am thinking a 1350 u joint on the case and a 1410 on the rear and have a mchine shop fit the 1410 slip yoke into the cruiser d shaft.

would this work?

or i am just trying really hard to stay within budget. I am cheap and the funds are not available at the moment.

lc hamma & R. K. I have been following both of your projects 40 & pig both are awesome.

I will have to lean more for the 40. I want to get my 79 going and then start w/ my 74 buggie which will be like RK's but mostly cruiser w/ the exception of an SM465
