Well...After months of back and forth decision-making while waiting to see what the ARB rear bumper looked like, talking to local fabricators, learning the pros and cons of the (few) bumpers available for my 100, and MANY sleepless nights figuring out how to explain to the other half why I HAVE to spend a couple of grand on a big black chunk of steel....

I dropped down my hard earned bucks on the Slee rear bumper w/spare tire carrier....

OK, there was a little buyer`s` remorse ( did I mention MANY sleepless nights ?!)... But..... I GOT MY SLEE REAR BUMPER !!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit that I am a cheap bast$#D, so even as I was unwrapping the VERY well packed and palleted item, I was still a bit nervous about my "investment"...

Then our eyes met....(well they were recovery points, actually)....I WAS IN LOVE !!
And as soon as the oohs and ahhs from my co-workers rang out, I knew that I had made the right decision...It was worth EVERY PENNY !!

The quality and construction of this bumper is incredible (not to mention the "I dare you to run into the back of me" look of this monster !). If you cant tell by now, so far I am now 100% happy with my purchase !!

My hat is off to Christo (and crew) for building such a nice addition to my 100, and I am even more impressed in how fast they got it out to me (1 day from CO. to Las Vegas !) There was a parts shortage on an item related to the bumper, and I explained to Christo that I really needed it by this weekend for a run...
And he delivered !!!

Its getting put on in the morning and as promised, I will pass on the effects of the added weight on the rear springs, the height drop with my 866`s, the ease of installation (good instructions BTW Christo) and my overall opinion after this weekend`s run.

Thanks again Slee for great service AND a great product !!

As you already know this thread is worthless without pics.

And no, we've already seen Schott's pics so don't try to pass those off as your own.

Monday mister. We want pics by Monday:D

BTW, how much does this thing weigh?

I`m not sure what the actual weight of this bumper is, But when several of my co-workers walked by and (out of curiosity, I suppose) tried to lift JUST THE SWINGARM ASSY, every single one had a comment ranging from "Holy s$#t..
this is for your Land Cruiser ?" to "how many people is it gonna take to put that thing on your truck ?" ...

I am a proud Papa :D

Oh, and dont worry...I will post some pics of the finished product !!

We're still waiting for the pics. Make it a priority, we're ready to see it.

Congrats on the new bumper! I too considered a few bumpers and spoke to Fox Fab about a custom one, but he was booked for like a year and was eventually going to fabricate on for his wife's 100, but I couldn't wait.

I went with TJM for the sum of $850 without the tire carrier. I'll put that on at a later date. Can't spring everything on the wife at once.

Is the TJM as rugged as Slee's? Definitley not, but it does exactly what I need it to do. :D

Ummmm... yeah right... as soon as you post pix of your black wheels. :flipoff2:

I have Slee's rear bumper on my 80 series. After 3.5 years of use and abuse, I can only say good things about it. It's been to Moab 4 times, 4 times over the Rubicon, 2 times over Dusy Ershim, plus a lot of other trails.
Sure there are a few scratches on it. But when came time to remove it, so I could have the sides of my 80 painted. It came right off. And back on, just as easy as when I first installed it.

Mine was an earlier generation of the rear bumper. Through time, Christo has made it even better.

Excellent purchase, congratulations.

Christo mentioned it to be around 200lbs for the entire bumper w/ carrier. It is definitely stout.

I am gonna try to work the N74L`s in with my 866`s, but I`ve already prepared myself for a spring change if needed.

The main section of the Slee bumper in now on (the bearings for the swingarm were backordered and on thier way)..It looks great and fit EASILY and perfect !!

I am on my way !! :D

I'd like to see pics without the tire carrier.

While hunting this weekend the LC attracted loads of attention at the motel. The other guys were driving GM's, Fords, Dodges, Subs, etc...they had never seen an LC set-up for off-road. And the Slee rear bumper tied with the fridge/freeze with the most WOW's!

I'm falling behind in the mods category. And yes, it is a competition:flipoff2:
