Long time listener, first time caller. I’ve had many Toyota’s over the years and my current family is a FJ60, GX470 and an FJCruiser.
My FJ60 has a long story that I’ll put together another time, but for now I’ll give you the cliff notes.
This thread will act as my FJ60 project (build) thread.
1987 Toyota Land Cruiser (FJ60)
350 TBI (inherited rats nest of fun)
700R4 transmission
The Interior is clean, but the factory drivers seat had a pretty bad lean and was ripped. Because of this, I swapped in a pair of gray BMW 3 Series sears using Tora fabrication brackets.
I’ll be adding to this thread as I get this project rolling.

Known issues:
- Stalls out after it’s been running for a few minutes.
- Transmission has a small leak.
- Brake pedal goes to the floor without any pressure. May need a bleed or master cylinder
- Suspension needs to be replaced.
- AC seems to work but I don’t believe it’s been converted to R134A.
