Not new to, but back into, a 100 (1 Viewer)

Re-joined the 100 scene after a brief absence. Quite a Cruiser carousel in the last 8 months or so. From having an '06 100 and an 80, to shedding the 100 and picking up a 200, to shedding the 80 and having nothing else, to getting back into an '02 100. Nice condition for 269k miles. Not a lot new to learn, just a few less ponies and one less gear. No immediate plans, just fun little things that I had on the '06 that I hope to mirror. Will need tires, 60k on current, which opens up a Pandora's box. Leaning towards some cheap 18" Tundras that are everywhere. Then just the standard remove running boards, LEDs, AHC lift, etc. Really enjoying driving it daily, so many more creature comforts compared to the 80 (but sure do miss it's character).

Will be the weakest build thread ever with all of the small bits, but will enjoy updating the small details and all of the little things. I transformed our '06 nicely for our use so hope to get to that point in details.

green 80, two tone with gray is the greatest 80 series... love that color combo! triple locked would be icing in cake.

They are all very different. I honestly wish I could have one of each all the time. The 570 is just a beast, drives big, but very comfortable and power to spare. Love our road trips in it. The 470 drives more sporty compared to the 570, still solid and big but very different. The 80 is just an 80. Loved that thing, character like no other. Daily drove it and loved every second. I am loving daily driving the 470 with all of the creature comforts, but does just blend in, unlike the 80. Have to get some lift, tires, etc to make it mine. There are a lot of threads on here comparing each in much further depth. Didn't wheel the 470 nor the 570 as of now so those threads can give you much more info.

Didn't come back to a 100 necessarily on purpose or for any reason. Needed to sell the 80 financially and originally had a line on a cheap 99 LC that fell through. Gave up on that and tried talking myself into a beater car but when this one came up I had to do it. 80's are getting pricey and 100's in my opinion are a better value at the moment if serviced well. All of this of course depends on our intended purpose and budget. They are all awesome in their own right and each have something to offer. Will never own anything else.

No kidding. I guess this thread can be it. Definitely will be more LCP products to get! I don't mind what is discussed as long as no one minds my little 'build' inclusions...like today...first oil change by me at 269,391.

First couple of items. Strong Arm hood struts and went with a Proclip and a Scosche magnet mount. Sorry for the super high res large images.

And slow it goes. Minor things but makes me feel I'm getting things done, which, I guess I am. Running boards off a couple of weeks ago. LEDs for doors, dome, map (went with red), and license plate. Cabin air filter.

Also took the paper weight off the frame.

On the priority list were the heater T's and all hoses. Pain in the a$$, hate doing them. They seemed only slightly easier on my 2006, but maybe that's because I'd never done them and was pumped to get them done, and it was years ago. This time I new they'd suck. I imagine they would have had to have been done sometime in the last 269k miles. One broke as I was working the hoses off, the other not too bad. On the '06 I went with brass, just stayed with OEM T's this time.

As many have done ordered the updated rear wiper off of eBay - straight from Japan. Also painted the wing with some PlastiDip. Not a huge fan of it but it's cheap, takes very little prep, and gave me something to do. Original paint wasn't horrible but not great and was slightly whiter than the rest.

I don't think I've had an original idea, everything I do comes from this sight and other much more ingenuitive thinkers. So thanks you all. In the process of updating the front wipers. Received the driver side today. The current ones weren't too bad actually when I looked at them closer. The new ones however are slightly more sleek and are noticeably so when side by side. I'm going to order some SEM black trim paint to clean up the cowl and wiper arms.

Pretty productive day. AHC flush. New vs. old pic is from reservoir. Accumulators were darker and slightly milky. Will probably need to replace front dr accumulator. Received ps wiper blade, installed.

Replaced intake/resonator acquired from classifieds part out. Add another use for duct tape I guess.

LIttle baby updates.

New PCV valve and grommet. Existing one seemed good but now I know when it was replaced.

Figured I better also replaced the sway bar end links/bushings/hardware. Pretty nasty condition. No rust just dirt and grime.

Surprise find with the drilled and slotted rotors. Didn't realize the PO used them. Wouldn't have been my choice but will take it, stops quite well.

Already mentioned in the "What did you do..." thread, wanted to update my build thread as well. Got my 'more new than original' rear springs in finally. Picked them up on eBay a few months back, seller claimed about 100k miles on them. Figured freshen up the originals that were at 269k when I bought it. Rear coil spacers done as well, also eBay special from AUS.

Having trouble getting my Techstream to play. Will work on that.

No visual difference in springs. Old on right. Better physical appearance/condition.
