Hey Guys,
I am hoping you all can help me. I have 33x10.5R15 BFG KO2s on my FJ62 now. I am doing the 80 front axle swap and going to TRD SEMA wheels 17x7.
Part 1- There are two tires I am looking at- General Grabber AT and Open Range (Toyos). I think I prefer the Grabbers, but a recent experience with Les Schwab and the fact that I will be driving in the west make me want to consider the Open Range. Anyone have any preferences? Traction, road noise, and comfort are my criteria.
Part 2- I am thinking that the KO2s size are fine, but don't really want to go any wider. The two tire stores (Discount Tire and Les Schwab recommended vastly different tire sizes- 285/65R17 and 265/70/R17. I am not hung up on having 33's and think that a little narrower tire might improve fuel economy. Recommendations/Thoughts?
Rich
