FJ25, 40 & 45 , 55 Series Key Blanks

- To select the correct key for your vehicle, you will need the four-digit code that is either on the lock cylinder or the original Toyota key. From this number, the first digit corresponds to one of the six key options available.

Example 4321. Using this number select key blank #4 , If you cannot find the numbers, look at your key as shown in the drawing and select according to the cross section shown under each number. This select option is only available for 1958-1974 side doors, 1958-9/72 ignition switches, and all of the rear doors on the 40 Series.

Matt I have one of the last keys with the numbers 198 stamped on it, does this mean anything? I need a new one cut for my LV. Please put one ☝️ f the last keys in your picture aside for me. I will get the number of my lock tmrw, the LV key is only stamped 3 numbers.

Matt

I'd like a #5 blank for my 45LV

(pretty sure I have a few, but that would require me to look for them)

My 64 45LV has the 5xxz key code on the ignition and on the rear lock(stamped on outside)

But the driver door lock is a 3 diget code 1xx(I can't read it honestly) it may be 198.....but it's not the same as ignition or rear hatch....but almost any key(I use the ignition key) will open the driver door if you just insert a 1/4-12" and turn...

I see how there is possible confusion with Toyota's use of a Arrow pointing down towards the end of the key as u look down the profile
on weather its a #3 or #4 ?

I compared it to a #5 key looking down the key so to speak and it does look like U have a #3 Key

I Do Not have any #3 Blanks , sorry :frown:

Excellent photo's BTW
