I can't be the only one doing a daily search for NOS parts? I've been lucky on occasion and sometimes those lucky finds are parts I don't need (e.g., engine parts/accessories). So, thought I'd start a thread dedicated to NOS FJ60/62 parts.

Here's my first two entries:

http://cruiserworld.eu (shipping is expensive but great service/OEM parts that were/aren't available at times)

toyota2ff@gmail.com (conact = Seper) Has a contact in Japan and the EU. Again, can sometimes put his hands on NOS items. Will work with you on pricing; shipping is expensive. Great customer service.

I have been into a truck much rarer for far longer than the FJ60/62's. Over the years I have got pretty good and digging for hard to find parts. I have not really had to do that much yet for the 60/62 but like yourself I have been digging and buying OEM or NOS parts. I have been using Amayama for a few years now with good results and I like the customer service too. Shipping is fair via airmail and packages are well protected. Sometimes the parts will sit in que for months but they do come in and once shipped, 10 days is the longest it has taken, sometimes it is only 5 days. The Japanese writing all over the boxes makes it that much cooler!

Amayama searches Japan and UAE, the majority of the stuff I get comes from Japan but every once in awhile I get a part from UAE. So far on the Cruiser I have only searched for FJ62 parts and all of that is interior trim bits, electrical items and so on, not searched for any mechanical parts. Some good results for me with Amayama. I have also bought a lot from CruiserDan and I get the feeling what Amayama can get so can Dan. Dan gives a good iH8Mud discount. On Amayama I just put in my vin# to search but they have online catalogs that reference back to their site. You can search other models but I have not tried it yet.

@RMP&O: Thanks for the info. I've used amayama 4 times but have strikeout with each attempt. Not really their fault as I was searching for unicorns. I primarily use Beno and my local dealership; but cruiserworld.eu has really come thru with some difficult NOS parts for me lately.

I'm about to place a phone call to SOR tomorrow. . .going to sing my checkbook a sweet lullaby tonight in preparation =)

Denso and Assind parts are still pretty easy to find on rock auto to good local autoparts stores. I bought a starter from Napa and inside the box had a Toyota wrapper around the part.

Despite the negative press SOR gets for their prices - they can get their hands on difficult to find parts and personally, I've never had a bad experience with them (customer service, parts knowledge, etc.). Just saying. . .
