1997 Toyota Land Cruiser
Triple Locked, 282k miles
Clean title, pink slip ready
California car
No Rust
Stock minus a few small upgrades (2" Dobinson lift & drawers)
2 previous owners (1st owner 5 years, 2nd owner 18 years) - purchased from an older gentleman (grandpa owned!)
Head gasket was done in my ownership - paperwork included

This is my second 80 that I bought to refresh it to the ih8mud standards and ideally I'd like to sell to another fellow enthusiast who can appreciate the work. I bought the trucking during the summer of 2021 and most of the work below was done during my ownership. The truck was a disaster. It was well taken care from the mechanical side as the previous owner took it to a mechanic in Mountain View, CA - Yarnells. The bad part was the interior was bad. The majority of the work was cleaning, redoing the interior, head gasket, and the lift.

I was shy at first to post this but here is the walk around video!

Bump! I’m back from Cruise to Moab. This is a cold start video of the truck sitting for the last 2 weeks.

New price: $23,999

I apologize for the double bump. Quick maintenance update:
  • All fluids have been changed as of 5/12/22
    • Toyota dealership coolant flush
    • Diff & transfer case fluid change with 80w-90
    • Transmission fluid changed via drain & fill method with Valvoline synthetic ATF (3.5qts)
    • Power steering flush with OEM red ATF

The truck will also be at Valley Hybrid's swap meet if anyone wants to check it out in person. It's this Saturday 5/14 in Manteca, CA. Link below.

Dropped by today and checked out this nice '80. The engine is so clean you can eat off it! Rig is beautiful. Why didn't I buy it? The wife would kill me if I brought home another '80!
