So my caliper bolts have backed off for the last time.

I replaced my knuckle housing due to a stripped bolt hole for the caliper and everything torqued back up.

I plan on using these little beauties to hold them firm without locktite.

I have seen them up close, in use, and the formal presentation.

No affiliation, etc....

What happens when you want to remove the bolt? Does the washer break or do you damage the bolt threads, or what? Looks cool, though.

The idea is you apply enough torque to overcome the incline that prevents slippage due to vibration in the normal application.

Constant high torque will break the bind between the two plates and allow you to back out the bolt, nut, etc and still reuse the washers....

I've seen these fasteners being used in my bud's H1. These are serious hardware

loctite works, but it is messy and these are a "cleaner" mechanical fastener.

That and they are MUCH easier to break loose when it comes time to remove whatever it is you are holding in.

I have seen a whole lot of them being used on manifold bolts on 2Fs as they tend to back out.

Oh yeah, they are not cheap either :D
