noob question ......ie dumb...amp installation

i'm looking to install an amp in either the driver or passenger side (probably this one) rear cargo panel.....i've noticed many people have advised to check the "beauty seals or strips"... something to do with water leaking in....can anyone explain what this is in detail or provide a pic....much is appreciated...someti
