Anyone ever take a similiarly sized aftermarket bumper and made it work on an 80-series? I see a bunch of bumpers for other makers (Jeep, Chevy, Ford, LR...etc) in the classifieds and on craigslist and have always wondered if any has taken one and modded it to fit. The price can go from $50 to $200. Anyway..just curious.

I have thought of the same thing...actually went and looked at one, the guy said it was for a full sized Chevy PU but the frame rails- attachment points where several inches narrower than the frame on my '94.

try an early 90's ford f350 ... same width and they look pretty decent and way stronger than the piece of crap stock one ... just have to modify the mounting points
