I've had this clattering noise since I got my LC, exterior, near the rear wheels, when going over rough roads, pavement cracks and similar. Sounds like something loose, but I've gone underneath many times and all seems tight and secure. I tried pulling up the hand brake a little and seemed to quiet it down when going over the rough spots in the road. Is it possible that the internals of the e-brake (inside the rotor hat) are so loose they would do that? Suggestions as to how to address that?

E brake rattle is normal. It's the linkage being loose when there is no tension on the cable.

I've done a rear brake service but I never adjusted the cable since the hand brake holds awesome, and pulls up within 4-6 click so that's to spec. I'm starting to think I need to adjust the e-brake shoes, bellcrank, and cable. Get the slack out of that system.
