I seem to recall some people having issues after the recirculate door was broken by a dealer after checking the cabin filter.
To see if your door works:
Ignition on
AC in recirc
Open glove box, look in back for black panel near top with two tabs. Depress them, remove panel.
Looking in there you should see the top of the cabin filter. Hit the recirc button and see whether the door swings back toward you to cover the filter. Then put back in recirc to see whether it opens again.
Door move the door by hand!
If it doesn’t move along with the button then either the door or pin is busted, and a dealer most likely did it.
