no kickdown in auto in my lj78 prado?

Hi guys.
my first post of many to come guys!
i have a lj78 prado here in the Philippines with the 2lte engine. Auto trans works well but when I punch the throttle the auto doesnt kick down. cable seems fine but i could maybe get another 5mm or 1/4" adjustment.

any ideas?

The cable at the throttle that looks like a kick down cable isn't a kick down cable, it controls line pressure in the trans.
The cable should be adjusted so that the metal bonded thing on the cable is 1mm from the rubber boot.
