Just consulted 2F FSM.....why don't I have a fan clutch. :crybaby:

There are two different variations shown in the cooling system circuit, either the clutched type, or the direct drive (no clutch).

What is the reason for no fan clutch, and why do I not have one - what's the logic.

Orig. 2F, prod. date of 10/85....

Does your truck have A/C ? Is it a US market vehicle?

Yes, truck has A/C. and is a US Market vehicle, to the best of my knowledge.....

Fan is a metal - blade type, not the plastic. I'll post pictures tomorrow.....

Post up pics ...so I can see. Make sure to show how fan attaches to water pump. Most likely someone has swapped in a "flex fan" because they were to lazy to replace the fan clutch and fan. The OEM fan is plastic with a fan clutch. Maybe I'm wrong but I assumed all US market vehicles with A/C came with a fan clutch? anyone know for sure.

I'm not a "fan" of flex fans..... yeah they work but... I would rather have the proper shroud + correct fan and clutch.
