When I hit the stalk to turn on my brights I can't hear the relay click. My brights also activate the turn on lead to my lightforce aux. lights--they don't come on either. The weird part is the blue bright symbol lights up on the dash as if they are on. Any pointers on where to start?

Check the switch? It would seem to be doing something if the indicator is lighting up ... could there be a problem with your aux wiring? I assume you checked all the fuses ...

Just throwing out thoughts -

do you happen to have the slee light harness?

Funny you should ask--I do have the slee harness--for my low beams, high beams, and the aux harness. I'm generally pretty good with wiring--the slee harness is a no brainer--I take it there must be a problem?

Fuses were the first thing I looked at--I wish it was that easy:frown:

Believe it or not, I had problems with the Slee harness after my first day of wheeling in Moab. I had no lights or brights and after checking the same things you did, I decided to switch back to the original harness. Bingo. Had all lights again. Don't know why it crapped out but it did. Just left it in there and left lights powered by original harness.

My truck did this a while back... and it still needs to be tracked down. Other's have posted about this problem in the past, a switch did not fix it. The relay sits in the fuse box under hood. In a pinch, it's easy to yank it and place a jumper in it's place... or you can run two wires and a switch into the cab as a temp fix.

I bet ya thats it!!! There was a thread awhile ago about something similiar and a few guys lost their brights! Turned out they all had the slee harness and the terminals were all corroded to hell! Check that!! I am willing to bet a nickle that what it is! After reading that thread, i pulled my harness apart and put the anti corrosion goop all over everything, works like a charm!

Thanks--indeed the slee harness is the culprit--I purchased 3--one for my head lights and two pairs for my aux lights--Christo has suggested some solutions that I will try when I have some cruiser time.
