No air blowing from the center vents (1 Viewer)

Recently I noticed air, hot or cold, wasn't blowing from my center vents flanking the radio. Air flows great through the outboard vents. I confirmed my vent flaps were open. So, I removed the driver's side vent to find out what is wrong. It appears the internal flapper that I believe either blocks off or sends air through the center vents isn't working depsite changing the hvac setting to blow air through the center vents. It doesn't open for some reason. Has anyone had this issue before? Any recommendations on how to fix it? Any help is appreciated.
