I bought my 80 rolled and spent a huge amount of time and effort to make it pretty again. It didn't seem right to have pretty new paint without a few tree marks on it! After all that work I drive it hard and let God wash it! You may not want your truck all battered up, but a few "character" marks are appropriate.
I drive around in Prescott and see a lot of "soccor mom" Land Cruisers on the road. It just seems wrong to drive the best off-road machine ever produced and not have a mark on it! Toyota built them to be used.
As mentioned above, Maguires makes a great polishing product that combined with a polisher can work magic. Smooth out your scars the best you can and then carry your character marks with pride!
