I've noticed on newer Safari snorkelss that the snorkel clamp is black instead of plain steel. When did this change? Does anyone know of a source for black clamps? This is another one of the annoying details that I can take care of while the big bitch is at the spa...speaking of which, does anyone know the diameter of the snorkel at the clamp? I might try to find an alternative source, I don't even want to know what the ARB-brand clamp is like.

    Thanks in advance!

Interestingly enough The black clamp is marked "Made in USA".

By the way, the "item" OD is larger than the Safari ID but smaller than the Safari OD.

Don't ask me how I know all of this because I would, well, have to kill you if I told you...:flipoff2:
