Checked the faqs and researched a bit. Came across a '92 in fair condition. I was just wondering how much they are going for? I checked blue book but that is really hard to go by in this area. I'm just looking for average ball-park figures. Thanks.

area where said LC is located is a help also.

I bought my locked 94 a month ago after looking and driving all over to find the right one.Mine is stock, has 150,000 miles,New paint, and was dealer maintaine .I gave $8900 for it, and feel like I did ok.

This is located in Hawaii. After researching on this board, I really wanted to wait for a '93+, but around here finding a used LC in decent shape is hard enough. So I came across this '92 in fair condition with 150,000. Just one small rust area bubbling under the paint, but its next to the windshield. AC is broken. Clear coat is peeling, but around here thats pretty common. Other than that its a pretty solid truck in descent shape. Guy was originally asking $8,000 but came down to $6,000. Blue book $5420 for excellent and $4220 for fair condition, which is what I would consider this one to be in, but like I said, you aren't going to pay blue book in this area. I looked at a '96 last week and the body was worse shape with rust, and the guy wanted $9500. I passed on that one.

Depends on how bad your itch is I guess.

Cali to Honolulu $899. That opens up a whole bunch of cruisers to you. Sounds to me like not only is your market very limited, the trucks are way overpriced. You may well get a better truck for less money overall if you shop the mainland. You might be able to get some help from here on the board checking out a vehicle you've located.

I could not even find any model for sale when I was looking on Kauai or in the whole state about a year ago...ended up on eBay. Love my car, was in great shape. It is a '96, had 122,000 on it. I see the post about shipping thru Pasha, they were great, that is how mine got here from Cali (after being trucked from TX). You are right, any Toyota product seems to be higher priced here than a similar in another area. Good luck. I would ssay wait for what you really want though:)
