I just bought my first Toyota, a 1991 FJ80. It is pretty sharp but has a few small things wrong. The one that probably bothers me the most is it is missing that black plastic piece that connects the running board a the fender flare on the passenger side. Where can I get this piece at. There's a few other things I'll ask about later, but that one looks bad so I need to get it first any help to a newbie would be greatly appriciated.

A lot of people remove the running boards so not a lot of feedback on replacement parts for them will be forthcoming. However search for Cruiserdan on this forum, send him a PM - he's the guy who can get the part for you, if anyone can.

I understand he's on vacation at the moment.

But anyway welcome Peebles :flipoff2: !

Welcome to the board! Official salute :flipoff2: CDAN is the man for parts. If you plan on doing much wheeling then you might want to lose the running boards all together. They don't take well to being dragged on rocks.

I would enquire of buying a used one first. Cdan sells new stuff from the Toyo dealaership where he works.

I would try Slee Off Road, who does a lot of change outs of stock running boards for sliders and also Cruiserparts.net, who only sells used LC parts. You can find both on the internet. Good luck. :D
