Hey man great times today...

Great times? Did I miss a run today? Not that I could have made it anyway.... I was in Santa Fe trying to destroy myself learning to snowboard. On two trips down the bunny hill... I think I may have broken my tailbone and dislocated my right elbow. It was ugly. Actually, my buddy said I did really well for a first timer.

Sounds like a sleeper. How'd it go?

So, pray for snow, eh?

He musta forgot. I gave it to him at La Cueva.

Dan must've seen everybody - I was there about noon.

Ya, that's what he said. I was on my way to Gorman's and Dan had parts for him too. I played delivery boy.

I can tell from the above picture that you need a new belt.

Check out this thread after you go visit Cruiserdan and tell him we sent you.

Rgr...
we picked up some new OEM belts while we were at american toyota last Sat and i believe "cruiserdan" gave us the HABU discount... that's Hook A Brotha Up...
Gonna install them this weekend...
The "ribbed for pleasure" belts on there now almost squeal like a stuck pig...
Probably gonna go ahead and throw a new battery in too...
any recommendations, maybe Optima...

Oh, and thanks to everyone for the warm IH8MUD cruiser welcome salute...:flipoff2:

I have dual Optimas but I will not give them a strong recommendation. Maybe a "they might be OK" recommendation if you want a gel cell.

Think about what your plans are for the truck and get some ideas from the ROTW threads. Where I'm going is that if you plan on a dual battery system then careful selection now can get 2 in the factory location if you want to go that way. I chose to put 1 on the left and 1 on the right side in different battery trays. If you plan to stay with 1 but want more capacity for winching, fridge, radios, etc. then there are some LARGE batteries that will fit in the stock location.

I had a red-top Optima that I'd only had for about 3 years or so, and one morning a month ago, it was dead. I was able to jump the truck and the battery checked out "marginal." So I went ahead and replaced it with a conventional Interstate Mega-Tron Plus. This is a big battery (maybe group 27 or 30 - don't remember) with 900 cold cranking amps and a 7 year warranty. I figured the Optima would last much longer than it did. I like the concept of sealed gel cell batteries, but for me the reality was not very impressive.
