New Years Day run

I would suggest a north portal meeting at 9 and then caravan to either entrance point. It might be fun to observe the NM 4 wheelers if they are still making that run.

Shall we say done deal? It appears from the NM4W calendar that they are not going this year.

This is what I was thinking of...

Caja del Rio

Yup, that's the trail that I'm thinking of and that's the route that we took exactly. But it sounds like you have a different, much mellower route so can't wait to see some pics.

Don't forget to check out the big sinkhole up top!

Have a good time folks.

We have to bow out at the last minute. My wife found out she is on call at work and can't be more than 30-min away from ABQ. Hope you have a great time and be safe. Hopefully we can be in for the snow run.

Who is still going?

I'm beginning to think everyone is bailing. I hope others are interested, I may not get another chance at a snow run in January.

I'm going to check the forum first thing in the morning, if no one has chimed in, I think I may just go to the Puerco for a couple hours.

I'd like to go on a run, however...I'd like to do something more challenging than a stocker run.

I ran Tank Trap a few weeks ago without ever stopping...so, if anyone is willing to wheel more than a 2 track I am in. I will check later.

I'd even run from Placetas to the Crest or the other way. There's a lot of snow up there. I was up there last weekend.

I'm looking forward to wheeling. I'll try most any thing. If it's hard core I'm willing just talk me through the tough stuff.

So far, it looks like four of us:
Sarah
Albuquerque Jim
Daisy

I'm up for Placetas to the crest if you want to lead Jim. I'll check in again at 8am, and we can decide where we are going, and where to meet.

Sorry...i'm out

Since it appears to just be the three of us, I think we should consider either the Placitas to Sandias.. which I do not expect to be to harsh, or the Puerco. I've gone to the Puerco only a handfull of times, but I think I can navigate in out.

I've never done the trail near Santa Fe, and Jemez may be abit out of our collective league.
