Events/Trails New years Day ride

@Dumpolina and I are kicking around a day trip to Rowe Mesa on the 1st (in lieu of snow). Should be mild wheeling and perhaps we’ll check in on @mesa man in the rock garden by Glorieta.
Backup plan would be south of Cuba with plan c in Placitas…basically a longer day shake down for the Smurf.

Thinking an 8:30am meet up in Bernalillo/north portal area. Coffee, burritos, fuel and go

FWIW my read of the SFNF MVUM indicates early spring closures around Cuba, so rock bowl area should be OK

We are heading to Glorieta Mesa tomorrow 9am to watch the rock crawlers and Mike said you’d be there @Dumpolina. If you end up heading that way, give us a heads up. I’ll be taking BIG Betty and not doing the big obstacles.

By the way, we had a great time with Mike G. He’s a nice guy and a great trail leader / tour guide. Thanks for the connection!
