I already have a reliable 2000 4Runner, so I won't be missing out on exploring for that time.

Or just bypass that 80 fad and go for the stump-pulling 320 lb-ft of torque that you get from a 100-series, and still get the same fuel economy. Of course if you're single and don't have any kids, it might have too much space for all your gear. And you'll have to put up with all the 'mall-cruiser' comments from all the jealous types.

Shh. Most people didn't notice that I'd already chopped all the roots except the tap root. All I did to pull it over was release the brake and coast down the hill.

Just wanted to bump this back up. Ian and I got his cruiser wrapped up this afternoon. Its idles a smidge fast, but otherwise runs well. We fixed a couple PO modifications while we had the engine out. Plus it has some more parts waiting for install, which should only make it better.

kids these days! With so much info available on the net no has to sit down and listen to the old farts bs about how it's done! Kind of like having a dvr and skipping the commercials.
