Hey all. New to the forum. Just picked up 77' FJ40. Need some assistance on the engine. Any one around the Knoxville area mind lending some knowledge? Appears to have possibly 2 bent rods. Engine work is not my strong suit.

That's just how they look. That is #3 exhaust valve that is closed.

yes, but has knocking noises

did you adjust the valves?

They knock loud when they are not adjusted correctly
