Did the citric acid/oxalic acid wash on my cats yesterday and got an emissions test today. Went from 2.06 NOX on my last test to 0.4384 on this one, and finally passed.

Wow I didn't know that was a thing!Did the citric acid/oxalic acid wash on my cats yesterday and got an emissions test today. Went from 2.06 NOX on my last test to 0.4384 on this one, and finally passed.
I happened upon someone here on Mud mentioning it in one of the P0420/0430 threads regarding Subaru owners having success with it, so I went to googling and found various vehicle message boards with folks who've had success with it. The impetus of this method was a study done in Spain in 2006, which showed that citric and oxalic acids significantly improve the catalytic activity of an aged commercial three way catalyst.Wow I didn't know that was a thing!
I'm so glad you solved the problem without buying new cats.
Took the LX to easy mountain trails this past weekend... They are worth the blood, sweat, and tears (and parts money)
