Hi All,

I’ve been on the hunt for a 100 for quite some time and was close on a few but finally found one close to me. It’s a 2001 with 125k miles. It has great maintainence history and very clean on the outside. The only bummer is that the front seats are pretty dried up and cracked. I had the truck one day and already ordered new seat covers from land cruiser heaven and a new set of floor mats.

After ordering I read a few threads where others had some bad experiences / delays with LCH. Hoping i don’t have the same.

Looking into options for the stereo to get Sirius. Looks like there isn’t many options for replacing the head unit but wondering if anyone has some recommendations?

Thanks!

You can add Sirius XM by itself if you’re looking to keep the nav system in the dash. It’s fairly easy and cheap to do.

The unit plugs directly into the antenna plug on the head unit and then goes back out to the antenna mast. It’s on a FM signal but since it’s plugged directly into the head unit the sound is crystal clear, not at all like a wireless or cigarette lighter FM modulator.

Had the 100 now maybe 8 months and loving it and wanted to share what I’ve done to it.

I ended up putting in the Sirius commander as well as an Isimple wireless transmitter. Allows me to play anything off my phone via Bluetooth as well as take calls. Love the combo!

I also has the seats and steering wheel recovered with a set from Landcruiser heaven and a new set of car mats. Not cheap but looks incredible!! Very happy I did that

with this I also had the trim and rear bumper painted. So many marks from doors etc - color matched now to the truck.

finally, did a comprehensive baseline of the truck and it’s been running great!

next steps are:
- remove running boards
- Lift kit. Still can’t decide what kit. Tough dog seems to get good reviews but may just end up going with OME. Hopefully, not too harsh for daily use. Any recommendations?
-ARB front bumper.

Nice looking truck! The interior turned out really nice.

I have the OME on my 2002 LX with e load BFG ATs and it rides better than my F250. I also have the ARB combo bumper with a 9.5 winch. There are better options out there but it serves my needs. Lift that truck and enjoy!

Nope to both UCA's and torsion bars. For the gravel roads and trips to target it works great! ;)

It’s the full leather and the leather looks and feels great!! A shop near me did the work (rodz body shop). They said the steering wheel was a pain given the hand stiching required.
