A couple of months back my horn stopped working. I traced the problem to the steering wheel and then noticed that my airbag light was on. Damn. :bang: Some time later I discovered that my cruise control didn't work either. :bang: So I posted my symptoms up on the Mud board and was advised that the problem was more than likely my spiral cable. Well, I replaced the spiral cable and switch assembly this morning and my problems persist. Still no dang horn, airbag or cruise. :bang: Any suggestions because I am fresh out of ideas here. Thanks.

you'll need to do some checking with an ohm-meter. I could do it, but not over the internet. Perhaps you can find an electrical specialist in your area?

Oh I dont know, we might be able to help you figure something out. What year is your LC? Do you own a meter? Test Light?

With all of these things not working, perhaps a connector has come loose? Worth checking everything from the horn-button down into the wiring loom to see if it is not just something simple and stupid like that.

Hi-ya guys. It's a '95 LC. I have a meter and test light. Could someone explain how to test the horn wire to see where the problem is? Since it's all these things, and I just replaced the sprial cable, this has to be a failed plug somewhere. Dang, I am no good with electrical grimlins.

find an ewd book and test the horn wire below the spiral cable. it's in the bundle under the column. On my 97 it's green with a red stripe. ground that wire, horn should honk.

then move upwards towards the spiral cable some more, re-ground that wire, etc.

Got it, thanks. I'll start on this tomorrow.

toylndcrusr, did you find the issue? I'm in the same boat. I just replaced the spiral cable, but the ABS light remains on and the horn doesn't work.
