Hello everyone!, My name is Pat and wife is Susan and we just moved in to town from Las Vegas Nevada. We bought a house in the Rivers Edge II area and are LOVIN the views! We have a 79 40 that wears the smurf blue paint. It is mostly stock with a shackle lift and 31s. Would like to check out a club meeting or run sometime soon. I will try to upload some photos. Cant wait to do some exploring around here.

Welcome to New Mexico and HDC!
Keep your eyes on this page and try and make it to our next meeting in July, we would love to meet you and rig!
In the mean time, let us know if you need anything.

Hey Pat,

Welcome to ABQ and to HDC. My wife and I grew up in NV as well. Hope to meet you at our next meeting at Evan and Ellen's home in the East Mountains.

welcome! I am in Rio and a few others are too. most of in RR also have 40's now that I think about it...
anyway nice 40. looks pretty clean. my '77 is a rust bucket and worse than most.

Welcome! I'm just across the road (528) from you and so is Steve, another 40...

Looking forward to meeting you guys!

Are those tires as old as the 40? :-)

Yes, welcome. We back up to the northwest corner of 528 and Riverside north. There is another Steve as well - he lives out by Shawn.

Welcome! my wife grew up in LV and I am from Carson City, so you have even more NV's around... we will miss the July meeting, but hope to catch you at the next one.

btw, nice oldschool blue NV plate, keep that one ;)

Thanks for the welcome everyone! We are excited to be here. it's sort of a homecoming for my 40 as it was sold new in Santa Fe. Spent most of its life in California. First around San Francisco then L.A. and finally San Diego area. I am still new to the Landcruiser sickness as I bought this one 2 years ago. This is my first.

Daisy: Thank you for the welcome and I will definitely try to make the July meeting.
Ali: What part of NV? tires are 5 years old but they look old school huh!
Steve: Wow, we are neighbors! I am on Hudson River right off of Riverside and allegheny.
John: Going to keep the blue plate on the front!

t!

We grew up in Reno, both went to UNR then started moving around the country!

About the only time I go through LV is on our way to Death Valley or Reno so haven't really spent much time there.

Neighbors

I also moved here from Vegas. I have a white 80 but I am just up the road a bit in Corrales Heights. Welcome !!!

Welcome Pat! As mentioned, my wife and I will host the July meeting on Saturday, July 7th in the Tijeras area of the East Mountains. It's a bit of a haul from Rio Rancho, but it will give you a chance to check out your "extended neighborhood."

We typically have a pot luck format, where we will serve a main dish and people bring whatever they would like to eat and share. BYOB and bring your truck as well. Spouses/families are welcome. Keep an eye out for directions to the house as we get closer to the date. You may even want to convoy with one of your Rio Rancho neighbors. Looking forward to meeting you and Susan and your 40!

Evan & Ellen

P.S. :flipoff2: It's the HDC welcome! Where are your manners, guys?!?

Thanks Evan, I will mark it on my calendar! Would be nice to caravan with some of the other Ranchoans. or is it ranchites? oh well! :hhmm:

hmmm... neat idea... there's at least four 40's that could caravan there from RR.

Oh dear, the hills are gonna be a murder...may have to turn on the hazards...cough, cough, wheeze, wheeze.....:flipoff2:

:flipoff2: not mine! well, I don't take it much over 60, but not because it won't do it...

Gotta be careful with that 40. You drive it on the freeway and you might knock off all the rust. Then, nothing will be left to hold it together.
