I was just browsing SOR's site, and it looks like they have newly designed rear sliding windows for 40 & 60 series Cruisers. No affiliation, just a heads up for anyone who's looking.

On my list of things to do!

I saw those earlier this week, was going to post a notice but forgot!

I read the installation instructions and they say they are curved, so you need to bend of grind the pinch welds a tad.

I've got a set of the flat ones, 1 1/2 yrs old, I"m happy with them. I am more aware of them being flat now than before. I used brand new window rubber around them, might have made them a better fit. I emailed to ask if they are curved, will relay their answer when I get it.

Please do. I have held out on getting these because of the reported issues by some in the past. Very intriguing IF they are truly re-designed to fit the curve of the sheet metal.

The sliders are one of the leading ads on SOR's site, fyi.

I just got my email this morning, and SOR reports that this batch of sliding windows are flat as well. I am happy with mine, I just have to figure out a dog-proof bug screen now.

Latest install and performance feedback?

Latest install and performance feedback?

I removed the windows about 4 months after this post. Because they are flat, the windows install with the rubber moulding
and the corners were pushed out. I did my best to but the corners leaked water a bit. I did not want to use any kind of butyl
rubber caulking or anything. That makes a big mess in the event they have to be removed. The other thing I found frustrating is
in snow conditions, the snow would accumulate on the tracks and the gap between the two sliding windows leaked, a lot. So they
are in my storage shed. I should just put them up for sale, but I might try to make them work in my 40 top as it has flat sides and
won't see any snow after it's restored.

Thank you.
