Hows everyone doing today?

Anyone know where i can buy a new (not refurbished/rebuilt) radiator?

i got a 91 fj80 jdm btw

thanks

Automatic or manual transmission? Your radiator choice will depend on that.

If manual: 16400-17020 available from any Toyota dealership in the US.

If automatic, it is discontinued and no longer available.

You will need to buy the above radiator and install a secondary heat exchanger for the automatic gearbox since you will be getting rid of the one that's integrated into the radiator that you have installed currently.

Or you can waste time with a China-com radiator from FleaBay, etc.

my bad thought i had auto in there. also its gas NOT diesel (not sure if that matters)

Yeah its an automatic does anyone make a real good after market one?

if not does the secondary heat exchanger take up a lot of space or will it fit nicely?

is there any other options i have besides getting a manual one and installing secondary exchanger?

if im doing engine swap does that chance what kind of radiator ?

I would highly suggest you use the search feature, as this has been debated and answered many times.

ive been looking for past 2 hours and would appreciate some help thats all

In the future, if you want people to help you and not be frustrated because you didn’t tell us s*** about s***, please tell us as much about your truck as possible.

My comments above are moot; ignore them.

So what truck do you actually have? What is its designation? FJ80? Carbureted or fuel injected? 3F or 3F-E?

If you have the gasser engine, and you have either of the engines above, then there are no radiators available from Toyota anymore.

You would need to get a comparable radiator for a US-spec FJ80 from any source you can find at this point.

@xxTRIPxx OGBeno advice is pretty much always the best advice.

As to your question about fitment I couldn't help you there either. That being said I had an aftermarket aluminum radiator in my previous 91 that had been installed by the PO.

The po had somebody build a custom aluminum shroud for it, I am not sure if that was required or maybe he just broke the oem shroud.

As to your question regarding an engine swap it would depend on the engine your swapping? 1fz-fe, ls v8, 6bt etc etc.

Pretty much any engine swap will require a custom or semi custom radiator.

FYI, here is the radiator that was in my 91.

@xxTRIPxx You’re not doing things to help yourself. I understand you are unfamiliar with MUD but you do not need 3 separate threads trying to solve your issue.

@xxTRIPxx

Also, if you have the original brass radiator I would definitely consider finding a radiator repair shop that can just rebuild it. Old school brass radiators can almost always be rebuilt and brought back to new condition.

thanks man sorry again, found a good company that makes them PRC but I cleaned out my heater control valve, replaced air intake hoses, flushed block and radiator, replaced thermostat, did the test on rad cap to check for leaking oil so head gaskets good. over heating seems to have stopped for now.

thanks again for help and ill do a better job next time for posting as much detail as possible.
