Interesting Matt. It appears to have the provisions (cutout, etc.) for the switch. FWIW the NOS ones I bought in the middle east have the switch.

So what market didn't have a switch? Just curious.

my NOS room lamps require the use of the general service switch that mounts on the dash .

much like a FJ40 FST for example , same exact concept ....

These look nice!

They would be perfect for someone looking to add the authentic duplicate light in the cargo area (off the back bow). I slaved mine to the front light.
