Matt, silly question, but what did the numbers designate originally? Some of the oem bolts are the same size and thread pitch, but have different numbers, 4,5,7 etc.

The higher the number the stronger the JIS fastener basicly

But study the below hard

It’s a bit tricky at first

Those charts just qualified your classifieds post for status as a FAQ sticky! Good on you Matt.

Thanks for the explaination, Matt!

So, if the numbers correspond to strength/torque specs; do your new bolts meet all the same specs?

ok , kool thanks

YES ,

ALL MY bolts i offer here on MUD or ONLINE parts store / same ones

- are 100% MADE IN JAPAN , period NO grey area here what so ever to be krystal klear

- some are OEM TOYOTA NON USA hardware , others are simply i purchase from a OEM parts Japanese main land specialty company direct

- 100% of the stamped #'s heads #4 #7 #8 and so on are made in special runs or batches for me per my order request / there minimum order amount they require

- so ............

- to clarify they are 100% JIS / JDM correct for the year 2022 TODAY , and prior as well , the JIS numbering system for hardware has been the same since i was age 15 in 1989 that im aware of and has not changed

- only HOW they mark the heads now they use dots and dashes

- TAKE note , the #7 and #8 ones have smaller diameter washers SEMS

- the #4 have more of a fender washer set up both SEMS

SEMS defined is " PRE-Assembled in JIS terminology

JIS = Japanese Industry standard much like SAE is in the USA

What does the little “f” in front of the M6 or M8 on your webpage?
