As mentioned in the wrench day thread we have 3 options for locations.

Option A is at James's storage unit. Location is at I10 West/Fair Oaks Pkwy. About 15mins north of the city on I10. This location probably has a bit more room than my house.

Option B is our house near I35/O Conner Rd. Just on the northeast side of town. Our driveway can fit about 4 trucks at a time and a large street to park in.

Option C is Brett V's house in north San Antonio. He has a huge garage space and plenty of room as well.

Ill have our huge Norcold fridge to keep beverages in. We all have an extensive tool selection to use so that shouldnt be an issue.

Yall vote for your preferred locale. Poll will close on Oct 8. After that we'll figure out logistics and tool needs. It will also help if everyone posts their project when you vote so we can make sure they can all be done.

Hoping to make it. I'm coming from (at least) 90 miles away so where we meet is not a big deal for me. As for projects, I'm thinking (maybe) diff fluid change, transfer case fluid change, brake fluid flush, and coolant flush. Nothing too major, just some PM that I doubt has ever been done by previous owner.

Fancy poll - well played. In a turn of irony, I didn't vote for my location, but rather Bart's for a few reasons.

He has a bathroom. My storage unit doesn't (though there is a service station near by). This is important for the obvious reasons but also for scrubbing hands. I have Hand degreaser but it sucks not having running water.

Second reason - at Bart's there is usually a decent chance that Bart might throw some Boudin on the grill.

Brett's location sounds equally good and is centrally located. My place is still available if the poll trends that way.

All out of boudin lol.

I'm up for an after wrenching cookout or potluck meal if y'all are interested.

I had no idea Bart was a coon ass! I've got some boudin from best stop I've been dying to take out of the freezer, and Ricochet skids and Demello bumper with winch I'm hoping will be here by then. I can't turn a wrench but bring your computer problems with you. :D Oh, and I'm pretty good at bringing/drinking beer.

Work to do

Just voted, looking to change brake fluid and if time permits chance a P0401 code.

Not a coon ass but I work for a coon ass company lol.

On the beach trip back in April we took the 5lbs of boudin we had from Dons in Lafayette LA and cooked it up for everybody. I'll be passing thru Lafayette again in December and will get more.

Skids and bumper should be pretty easy to knock out. Hopefully Mike or Brett can make it as they've done both on an FJC.

I'll probably do a brake fluid flush and swap the alternator pulley on my truck.

If you decide to go after the code I'll help. Need to troubleshoot the same code on my truck.

Bummer on the boudin - but I did get my fill this summer. We bought 5lbs from Don's as well on our trip to Florida and back. Good stuff.

Regarding potluck / food for wrench day. I say we keep it simple and once the location is solidified - just plan on going somewhere to eat nearby. People will be busy enough getting their parts/tools/projects together. Just my $.02.

I'm fine with Bart's or Brett's. I've got the lucky P0401 as well, so I can bring my OBD scanner to pull emissions readiness status in case anyone wants to use it. I've done both Demello sliders and bumper (which has a few challenges), and will be glad to help out on those.

The scanner may help. If it doesn't pinpoint an obvious cause we'll have to vacuum gauge and volt meter out the VSVs, egr valve and a few other parts.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for possible wrench day locales, if that's cool? We've got a huge shop at 410 and 35 across from Cowboy's Dance Hall in the Pro-Logis Corporate Park that we can utilize. A lot of space for trucks as well as restrooms and a fridge.

I don't have much in the way of auto tools, and the only rule is leave no trace, but I'm sure you guys are used to both.

Bmmilloy - thanks for the offer, that sounds like an ideal location. I say we keep you in mind for the next wrench day since people have already voted on the Poll - albeit very few votes at all

We need to recruit someone who knows how to install stereo's and electronic equipment....
I'd like to finish the install on my tundra

Ive done a few stereos over the years. Whats left to do?

I'm gonna do my best to be there, but is gonna depend on my kids sports schedule that day.

I've done plenty of stereos in the past and could help with that regard. I mainly would like to get my u-joints replaced on my '91. Never having done them, not sure how long it'll take?

What time was this party gonna start?

Location?

Looks like its either going to be my house on the NE side or Bretts place on the North side. 2 more days left on the poll.
