Time to sell one bad ass 1989 FJ62, w/ only 115,146 original miles. Ella is a head turner. She was my DD from Day 1. First turn of the crank every time, trusted and dependable. 3 owners her entire life and you will see the breakdown below on yrs of ownership and mileage each put on. Clean Carfax-no accidents. Top score of 89 points on Auto-check Records dating back to original purchase. Pampered and well maintain FJ62! Title in hand. Selling b/c I changed jobs, new car and have to be on the road more. Cannot enjoy her and just sitting- driven only 1 or 2 every 2 weeks the last 90 days.
ASKING $40K. Certified Cashier's check only accepted payment. Shipping responsibility of purchaser.
First off everything is in working mechanical order- locks, windows, antenna, 4x4 (which i never have used except the day i bought her to confirm). Only items- windshield spray unit is not working.FJ62 original. Original windshield has a small nick- but do not want to change, to keep it original. Very light and treat surface rust in common areas- lower door panels and very small spic (1/4 dime) on rear roof/top tailgate area. Will post specific pics. Undercarriage- the unit was treated (2) times with a rust protective coating. Original owner did this per the 2nd owner. 2nd owner had it all redone at time of restoration. Oil seep- all seals have been replaced at 112K miles, however there is a very small "seep" that is coming from the Front Seals and Rear Oil pan seal- confirmed by Toyota certified mechanic and my personal mechanic, however the seep is so minimal- not a drip on the gorund, but a wipe every 2-3 days after driving, that we agreed to address when we needed to do any other future mechanical work.
As I was told, the original owner was a college professor- 2 homes in VA and AZ. Drove on average less than 5K miles per year. FJ62 was trailered to and from VA/AZ almost every year b/w 2001- and upon retirement in 2015, was located permanently in PHX,AZ- where the 2nd owner acquired her and relocated her outside of Austin,TX. Majority of restoration work completed by a very high end shop- Eagle Automotive, McAllen,TX. (look em up- talked to owner, he remembered everything about her after 4 yrrs of the work his team did).
I have had a few individuals with extensive mechanical knowledge of FJ60's- tell me this is one of the cleanest and mechanically sound units they have ever seen.
I will cut and paste my inventory of all records:
