New OEM window weatherstrip install help 40 series (1 Viewer)

Hi all

Just about to install all new OEM window seals in my FJ40 rebuild. My question is, the seals are covered in a grease of some sort in the toyota packaging, can anyone tell me if this needs to be cleaned off before instillation. Thanks

I just put all new toyota seals on my 40. No grease on any of them.

Interesting I might give them a clean before the installation, it seams to be just a preservative on them, the front windscreen didn't have anything on it and the rear side quarter panel windows are just lightly coated but the ambulance door windows are Heavily coated.
