New memeber first thread

Hello to all, I am a new member as you can tell. I have a 07 Camry fully equipped. I first must say I am really impressed with this site. Alot of knowledge and information. I am having some difficulties trying to understand, can my navigation system play DVD's. And if so how can I get it to play them. I have searched for some threads, so if you could lead me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

You may have more luck in the "other vehicle" forum.
But if your NavSys is like ours on the 100, it will indeed play DVDs.
Is that not explained in your owner's manual?

From what I know, there is a DVD rom logo but the dealer told me it only plays the map DVD. I tried putting in a movie, and an error screen displayed. Saying something like please insert map dvd. Im guess I have a Sat Navigation system

Your 100 has a DVD player in the console, right? When you are stopped and have the P-brake on, it plays on the Nav screen.

The Camry just has a place for the Map DVD & a CD player. Someone may make a DVD player that hooks up to that screen, but not Toyota.

pretty much my camry can't play dvd's unless I get some kinda adapter or module for it?
