Picked up a set of (5) 285/75/16 Revos today. :grinpimp: The ride is much improved over the half worn LTXs! No noticable difference in acceleration so far but I'm curious as to what this may do to my gas mileage...

Since there is no place around me to get some quick shots, a driveway pic will have to suffice.

Looking for sliders next. :cool:

looks BadASS, cant wait to get new tires on my 40

I should have done the same but ended up getting Michelin's (cross terrain) with the thought of fuel milage (though only likley to change 1 or 2 mpg at most) and for the fact that it is my wifes DD at present. Might get steel wheels and some MT's when I add a lift (OME mediums). My 93 (newly aquired) has 165k on it so the LC budget is focused on making her mechanicaly sound. Then come the toys. :D

Looks good, now you just need to add dirt. Looks alot like mine. I have some 285 / 75 / 16 but they are cheap tires from pep boys. I cant complain because I am getting good wear out of them, but I think I need a stronger side wall like the REVOss. :beer:

i liked the 285s on my '91, till i saw the 295s on my '94 --

-- either way, they're a big improvement over the stock look --

:D

gold = '91, green = '94

Parabola,

Who pressed in your caster bushings? I will need help in a week or two once I get all of my OME heavy stuff together.

Hey David. I got the guys at Land Cruiser Specialists to press them for me and install the steering damper. They then took it next door to get aligned for me too. Very happy with their service. :beer:

Parabola,

Nice choice and a somewhat biased opinion on my part. I to like the Revo's better over the stock LTX's. I noticed about a 1/2 to 1 mpg drop, but no seat of the pants noticable drop in acceleration, etc.

They've been just fine in the sand at Pismo, mud over to Pozo and dirt/rocks on Millers so far.

y = ax^2 + b,

Yeah..I've used Edwin's shop before and have always been happy with their work. I'm in money saving mode at the minute and thought you might know someone with a press at home. Hope to see you at the next meeting.

Thanks,
