plus,
when my daughter was going to take her driving test, the tester stated "no manual vehicles, auto only" so she had to take her test in the Civic instead of the Land Cruiser.
it almost seems they WANT drivers today to be ... uneducated ... in the ways of the manual.

I almost expect nothing less from our new America... The Land of the "Free". I feel sad for my boy.
