Long time Toyota driver that's always wanted a J40 or 100 series, finally came across a LX 470 and couldn't resist. The mileage is a little higher than I preferred but the price was right for a street driven SUV with good service records. The woodgrain and gold colored emblems are not my style but underneath it's still a 100!!!
Recently replaced both CVs, front shocks and installed new Falken Wildpeaks. I'm trying to keep the AHC and recently had the system flushed and tuned by RPM in Monrovia. Next up is to start baselining so I can take on road trips in the Western states ... primarily FSR and some moderate trails. The plan is to keep stock as much a possible, get rid of the running boards and probably set up the rear for sleeping.
Recently drove it on a couple local FSR ... I thought the ride of my 4Runner was nice but the LX is on another level.
