New Landcruiser LX450 owner (1 Viewer)

Hi guys.....

Just bought a 1997 LX 450 here in Vancouver BC Canada, they are extremely hard to find, in fact, even most dealerships will tell you that they were never sold in Canada after the late 1980's but anyway I found a local truck with 140k KM and bought it yesterday.

My questions:

What is the vehicle code for this truck, I noticed that many of the forums are chassis codes, at least I think they are.

What kind of problems are common in this year, and what should I immeadiatly check?

Are there any major diff in engine, drivetrain, or anything from the Landcruiser model that I should know about?

the lx450 is essentially the fj80 with higher trim level. (so check out the 80 series forum)

i didn't know they even made the lx in the late 80's?

Hey LX450,
Not too many guys here have that beast, so you are better off posting tech questions in the 80's forum, like Chels said, but more BC problems/ local wheeling questions are better answered here.

During the late 80's - early 90's it would have been branded a Landcruiser, as the first model was introduced in 1996...
but lets face it is just another LandCruiser so that is what i meant
