Having all the parts i need to rebuild my knuckles arrive this morning im pretty keen to get stuck into it. But the replacement studs from toyota have a splined top to suit a E12 socket.

Does anyone know how tight these studs should be torqued??

tight enough so they dont come out....?:flipoff2:

Just tight enough to hit it with a 7018?

Actually a good question. I ended up with 30 foot pounds. It's starts to feel sketchy about there, and that torque is not that critical. It is much more important to keep the nut torqued to 70 foot pounds.

Thanks mate, just what i wanted to hear!! I was guessing it would just be a matter of feel as that torque setting isnt readily available -well, not that i can find anyway...

Much appreciated.

remember, red loctite is your friend ;)

Just snug. I second the loctite. The threads hold it in the not the pressure on the bottoming of the stud.

The loctite will freeze it in there so it won't back out on future removals.
