First off - Hello. This is my first post... and it's the standard "What should I look for before I buy..." post.

The FJ in question is a 1970 FJ-55, in "great" shape, a Corvette 327 conversion, "typical but little rust" and brakes that need "adjusting or rebuilding' , stock form - never 'wheeled, etc.

Any clue what price range this Cruiser should be in? Is $2,500 reasonable? Are there things I should pay particular attention to with this year, model, etc.

Thanks!
- Mark

I'd love to have a 55. But...what year? What transmission? Disc brakes..etc, etc.??????
"Ususal" rust? Doors, pillars, rockers, rear sill??

Pics would help.

And there are a lot of "botched" V8 conversions out there.

As I said...I'd love to have a '55.

And W-E-L-C-O-M-E.

I'll leave it to someone else to give you the flipoff.

I'll just say that a vintage vette engine with all the original corvette stuff on it is worth some bank. Just for yucks, see what genuine vette exhaust manifolds, and especially rocker covers go for.

This 55's owner was asking 2500$, two months later we agreed to 1600$.... well worth it IMHO..

I love that old pig of Frydaddy's! :)

Welcome :flipoff2: :bounce: :flipoff2: :bounce2:

It had a 68' Impala 350 in it... quickly went to a 93' TBI 350

Not even close, over there you there are no gestures they just spell it out and tell you come over to mud if you want some questions answered.

Okay. Thanks. Oh and Fxxx off. ;)

funny how all the V8's swaps seem to always be from a Corvette.........;)

Yeah, I'll bet there are more "corvette" motors in other rigs than there were corvettes made.
