New Flame Thrower - WTF???!

Ok so i just got my pertronix ignition in and i went to put the Flame Thrower in and it's like 1/2 an inch smaller in diameter than my stock coil and the bracket won't tighten down around it.

Has anyone else had this problem and what did you use to fix it? i thought about some rubber spacers or just shoving some cardboard in there or something but i thought i'd get some feedback.

So what do you think?

I suggest modify or make a new bracket.

I used a piece of closed cell foam for a spacer...

Cut a couple strips of rubber from a inner tube the width of the bracket> wrap the coil tighten clamp

I used a piece of rubber. The inner tube idea sounds good.
