I went with 2.5” pipe when I did mine. Doesn’t sound much different. Got a cheap Summit Racing muffler on there and a hi-flow cat.
Mine starts getting louder around 2,500rpm. How about yours? Also, are you running headers or stock exhaust manifold?

Running the stock manifold. It doesn't get loud at any RPM. I am very pleased with it. It has a slight rumble at idle and a very low drone while driving. If the windows are up you can't here it in the cab.
