new brake master cylinder fail

I had a dud when doing my brakes. It was a typical rock auto one, can’t remember brand. Aisin after that and had no issues.
I have also dealt with JT Outfitters once and will never do it again. The lady on the phone was nice but no one replied to emails before I called.

X10 on supporting mud vendors.

If it's something cruiser specific, I'd buy it from them... or another mudder (if used).

A big problem I have seen over my years of doing brakes, is that if a new master cylinder is going to fail, it does it fairly soon after putting it in service.

Also, I often these days disassemble a new master cylinder for inspection prior to installation. I have found metal shards from machining inside that would have ruined the piston seal in short order.

"I often these days disassemble a new master cylinder for inspection prior to installation". Good thing to do before installing.

Over the years I have found potential problems with not only automotive products I have purchased but other items too.

With something like brakes where yourass in on the line close scrutiny is essential.
